A Medical Massage Therapists work closely with medical doctors to treat and develop a massage therapy plan for patients who are affected by pain, illness, or injury. They provide therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints. Many also assist in the assessment of range of motion and muscle strength.
Providing massages to patients for a variety of lengths
Using various massage techniques to manipulate muscles and soft tissue to treat chronic pain and injuries
Perform Hot and Cold Pack Therapy.
Perform Electrostimulation on muscle.
Listening and explaining various aspects of medical massage to patients
Attending and participating in meetings and training sessions.
Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized working area.
Assisting in cleanliness of location (therapy rooms, and common areas)
Maintaining records and filing documentation through EMR medical records.
Complying with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Proficient computer skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent people skills
Well-groomed, professional appearance
Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods
Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients
High School Diploma/GED
1+ years of massage therapy
Must be a Licensed Board-Certified Massage Therapist
