Patient Services Coordinator: Description
Patient Services Coordinator are an extension of the Univida Front Desk workforce and as an extension therefore responsible for answering inbound/ outbound calls. Patient Services Coordinator makes use of company policies to obtain First Call Resolution on every call with emphasis on patient centered, service focused, results oriented and trustworthy communication. Patient Services Coordinator is often the first point of contact for customers’ and patient issues. Patient Services Coordinator is required to have a commitment to customer/patient satisfaction and an ability to make quick and accurate decisions. The Patient Services Coordinator is here in support and promotion of the Univida mission of delivering the best medical care.
- Answer incoming customer /patient phone calls with member advocacy at the forefront and considering metric guidance to ensure our resources are equally available to all Univida patients.
- Making and confirming patient medical and transportation appointments in Advanced MD.
- Maintain customer/patient satisfaction ratings based on explicit criteria set forth by the company
- Take a minimum amount of 60 inbound calls.
- Must maintain an Occupancy rate of 84% or greater .
- Must adhere to the department’s most updated adherence/attendance policy
- Must obtain a minimum of 90% in Quality Assurance Scores.
- Company and government compliant documentation is required. Responds to emergency care, urgent care or medical advice to via the appropriate channels and by following the corresponding protocols. Patient Safety is first.
- Attend and actively engage in all mandatory training sessions to stay updated on services or company policy changes
- All process and routing protocols must be adhered to consistently and routinely
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- High level of professionalism
- Must be available to work some holidays and weekends if needed
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Call management and patient de-escalation skills
- Ability to work with behavioral health patients
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with technology and the ability to function in multiple software applications.
- Multitasking
- Must be able to speak, read and write English and Spanish
- Preferred but not required: Previous experience in a physician’s office, clinic, or hospital.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
This position works under usual office conditions. The associates are required to work at a work computer as well as be on the phone for defined periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The candidate must be able to work a full shift and accept a schedule within the business hours of the department. Physical demands include ability to lift to 50 lbs. Employee must be able to transition to work at home in case of a change in business direction or as a consequence of a local or national health crisis.
