On April 30, 2025, UniVida Medical Centers and UniCapital Asset Management Group broke ground on a visionary development that will expand healthcare in Allapattah while addressing the housing needs of the community. Known as UniCapital Allapattah, this project combines medical care and affordable housing in one of Miami’s most historic and underserved neighborhoods.

The seven-story building, located at 1700 NW 33rd St., will feature 95 residential units and a 6,000-square-foot UniVida Medical and Wellness Center on the ground floor. This center will deliver essential health services to seniors, working families, and other local residents who often lack easy access to care.

Designed in partnership with Gomez Construction and the architecture firm Caymares Martin, this project represents a bold new model that prioritizes healthcare in Allapattah through integrated, community-based solutions. The goal is to make health and wellness a convenient part of everyday life.

Leaders such as Ivan Herrera, John Herrera, and Dr. Orlando D. Rodriguez were joined by prominent figures like Don Francisco and Javier Romero at the groundbreaking event.

This marks the second of five planned UniCapital-UniVida projects across Miami-Dade County, all centered on creating healthier, more connected communities for the future.
